This movie was just released on HBO Max and I watched it last night in anticipation of this sermon. In the movie there is a stone called the "Dream stone" and the inscription around this stone is in Latin. When the power of the stone was transferred to a greedy a man who wasn't grateful for the life he had he unleashed the power of this stone onto the world by making people wish for the things he wanted for himself or even for themselves. In return for the wishes made, the stone stripped people of their essence. For example, Dianna wished for Steve to return and her price for that wish was losing her superpower.

So is the Dreamstone based on true story or a real myth? Well, we hope it’s not based on a true story because that would be horrific, but it looks like the myth around the Dreamstone is real. For one, Dolos, also known as Dolus, is a real god in Greek mythology. He is the spirit of trickery and guile, but also a master at cunning deception, craftiness and treachery. He is the son of Gaia, the personification of earth, and Aether, the personification of the upper sky. Dolos, whose female counterpart is Apate, the goddess of fraud and deception, was so powerful that he was even able to trick gods into lies, according to some stories.
So again we have Greek gods referenced. We know these to be the fallen angels of Enoch and not gods at all but the angels and magistrates who kept not their first estate.

Both are about the destruction of Society based upon evil. Both use 1984 as a number to convey a message.
In WW84 people "repented" or took back their wish in which the destruction came to a halt.
