Updated: Sep 17, 2020

This sermon is going to discuss the meaning of Righteousness and what it means to be Righteous. To listen to the sermon the link to Spotify is located at the end.

What is Righteousness?

Romans 10:5-13

5 For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness.

6 But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down),

or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).”

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,

9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;

13 for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Righteousness G1343-δικαιοσύνη dikaiosýnē, dik-ah-yos-oo'-nay; from G1342; equity (of character or act); specially (Christian) justification:—righteousness.

When we are Righteous we follow the Word of Abba Yah and that yields Prosperity. Are you wondering why things are not going right in your life and you are doing everything you think is right yet you are constantly struggling? Maybe you need to check yourself and reevaluate your morals, integrity and values and ask yourself are they Aligned with Abba Yah's Word? For when you are not Aligned with Abba Yah's Morals, Values and Integrity, you are still under the Law of Sin and Death. (see two part series The Law of Sin and Death vs The Law of The Spirit of Life)

Morals often describes one's particular values concerning what is right and what is wrong:

While ethics can refer broadly to moral principles, one often sees it applied to questions of correct behavior within a relatively narrow area of activity.

In addition, morals usually connotes an element of subjective preference, while ethics tends to suggest aspects of universal fairness and the question of whether or not an action is responsible

We Must go Back to The Morals of Abba Yah for us to Be Righteous and to End Oppression in Every Nation for Every Human who is and who Is Yet to be born. This is why understanding The True Word of Abba Yah is so vital. We must know what His Word Says in order for us to apply What He is wanting for Us and for Our Lives.

What are Abba Yah's Morals, Values and Integrity?

Exodus 20:1-17,23

And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. 7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. 8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. 12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. 13 Thou shalt not kill. 14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. 15 Thou shalt not steal. 16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. 17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. 23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

The Ten Commandments are how we are suppose to Act towards Abba Yah and others. These Moral Laws are defined more in Leviticus 19.

Leviticus 19:1-4, 9-19, 23-37

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy.

3 Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.

4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.

9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.

10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the Lord your God.

11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.

13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the Lord.

15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am the Lord.

17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.

19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

23 And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.

24 But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the Lord withal.

25 And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the Lord your God.

26 Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.

29 Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

30 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.

31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the Lord.

33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

35 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

36 Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the Lord.

The Verses Missing are the verses Yahusha HaMaschiach Fulfilled when He Died and Became our Final Sacrifice, Sin Offering, Burnt Offering Atonement for Peace...for He Stated:

Matthew 5:7

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, G3551 or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Law-G3551-νόμος nómos, nom'-os; from a primary νέμω némō (to parcel out, especially food or grazing to animals); law (through the idea of prescriptive usage), genitive case (regulation), specially, (of Moses (including the volume); also of the Gospel), or figuratively (a principle):—law.

Biblical Outline of G3551

anything established, anything received by usage, a custom, a law, a command

of any law whatsoever

a law or rule producing a state approved of God

by the observance of which is approved of God

a precept or injunction

the rule of action prescribed by reason

of the Mosaic law, and referring, acc. to the context. either to the volume of the law or to its contents

the Christian religion: the law demanding faith, the moral instruction given by Christ, esp. the precept concerning love

the name of the more important part (the Pentateuch), is put for the entire collection of the sacred books of the OT

Our Messiah was delivering the Same Message that was Given to Moses Via Abba Yah! He Did Not Come to Abolish the Laws but to Reinstate the Laws to All of Us. He Came To Fulfill the Sacrificial Laws, Atonement Laws, and the Laws of the land that was put into place. We in 2020 cannot hang people for their crimes, we and not "eye for and eye" or slaughter rams for sin offerings because we do not have a Levitical Priest to do this properly for us. The Almighty Ever Knowing Eternal Abba Yah/Father God Knew this. Which is Why the Prince of Peace had to come and die for Our Salvation. Yahusha = Yah Is Salvation!

The gospel if you really understand what is written and being said by the disciples in the New Testament is the Same as what Moses stated to the people of his time and what people in 2020 and beyond are Suppose to be preaching as well. You are not under just Love. Yes all the rest of the Morals and values and Principles rest upon the Greatest Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39) which is: Deuteronomy 6:4-5 4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:

5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. and then we are suppose to Leviticus 19:34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself

But how are we suppose to do either when we are not following What Abba Yah's Word says? This is why Understanding what Righteousness Really Means is so important.

Isaiah said: 51:7-11

“Listen to Me, you who know righteousness,

A people in whose heart is My law;

Do not fear the reproach of man,

Nor be dismayed at their revilings.

8 “For the moth will eat them like a garment,

And the grub will eat them like wool.

But My righteousness will be forever,

And My salvation to all generations.”

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord;

Awake as in the days of old, the generations of long ago.

Was it not You who cut Rahab in pieces,

Who pierced the dragon?

10 Was it not You who dried up the sea,

The waters of the great deep;

Who made the depths of the sea a pathway

For the redeemed to cross over?

11 So the ransomed of the Lord will return

And come with joyful shouting to Zion,

And everlasting joy will be on their heads.

They will obtain gladness and joy,

And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Yahusha/Christ Is the end of the Law for Righteousness.

He is The Integrity, Virtue, Morals, Character (Righteousness) for All who accept and Believe in Him are Transformed into His Righteousness which is the Righteousness of Abba Yah as Yahusha HaMaschiach was our Final Sin Sacrifice. That's what is Written and belief in Him like belief in Moses who First Delivered Abba Yah's Morals and Statutes is a choice: a choice to reside under the Law of Sin and Death or under the Law of The Spirit of Life which is Righteousness.
